I can’t have real models for shoots so why not have a fake mini one! I found a Madeline doll from when I was young and her clothes fit Blythe perfectly. I almost want to Photoshop her into a NY street.

These modern chairs are so simple and striking. The instructions are very detailed too.
If you have the right colored dough you can make a whole bakery’s worth of goodies! I made an éclair that looks good enough to eat!
Don’t forget the importance of reading!

I recently nabbed a bookshelf for free from a friend; it’s roughly six feet tall with removable shelves in 5 spots. I rearranged my room and set this sucker sideways on my dresser. Blythe’s house takes up half. (Sidenote: if you ever need any free stuff go to a college town when kids from apartments have to move out. Check when the trash is at the curb but before the truck comes! We found an Xbox! Even if it’s broken, I can still sell them for parts on ebay!).
Here are my two Blythes in the bed I made. The bed is balsa wood that was painted black. The white sheet is from an old t-shirt and I made a stuffed comforter and pillow from a fat quarter. The butterfly poster is a postcard and the kangaroo is the top of a box my friend got me from Australia.
The doll on the left is Prima Doll Aubrey and the one on the right is a customized Natasha Moore. She is wearing the dress (it’s just a pinned rectangle of cotton) that I hope to make for ProjectProjectRunway on Flickr. Both are spraymatted and have changed eyechips. I am thinking of giving Nata eyebrows, eyeshadow, lipgloss, and blush. What do you think?
This is the closet that I made. It is also balsa wood painted black. The little shoe containers are from an organizer from Joann’s, the container with the purple boots in it is the bottom of the kangaroo container my friend got me from Australia, and those Star Trek glasses I found at the house my boyfriend is squatting in (with permission of course
). The bag on the bottom shelf is face cloths just in case. The little green thing hanging is a monkey and the hangers are from Jolee’s tshirt scrapbooking embellishments.
The black dressform, sewing machine, books, magazine holder, and sewing/knitting baskets are storebought miniatures. The yellow bust is Polly Pocket. The glue, scissors, and pencil are erasers. The wall hanging was a gift from my aunt when I was younger.
The couch, pillows, tv, pink boombox, phone, and table (covered with scrapbooking paper) are Barbie. The recycling bin and bag are erasers (from the same set as those on the desk). The sewing bust is Re-Ment and will be displaying something soon! The Eiffel Tower is from a keychain I got on the top of the Eiffel tower 6 years ago. The Harry Potter magnet (from Universal Studios) reads “Proclamation. Educational Decree No. 82 : All students will submit to questioning about suspected illicit activities.”

I found a t-shirt embellishment from Jolee’s Boutique at BigLots! a few weeks ago for 1.25 and figured it would probably fit Blythe.
If anything I could always sew it smaller and it came with an adorable hanger so I was sold…er…bought?
Anyway, I took this home and it worked perfectly. Here’s how I did it DIY no-sew!
Step 1: Flip over that thing!
Step 2: Cut (using sewing scissors) down the middle and fray check/glue the edges.
Step 3: Try on Blythe, admire adorableness and attach adhesive Velcro (make sure you try it on her to gauge the fit).
I loved the first one so much that I got more from EBay for 6.00 plus 4.50 S/H.
At 10.50 for 9 shirts I ended up getting these for 1.17 each; I think that’s pretty darn good.

Rainbow Brite got a new slimmer makeover. They all look adorable though. I hope those outfits and boots fit Blythe.

So I have two Blythes, a Prima Dolly Aubrey (pictured below) and a Natasha Moore (who is undergoing some customizations). I made a little living space for them on my windowsill at home. Nata is at my apartment with her eye chips out. Her hair was cut and her face was sanded but I’m waiting on the eye chips (which have probably been returned to the sender due to my recent move). If you’re interested in more about Blythe and her massive following check out This is Blythe.

The brown circular table and chairs are rement. I made the jean chair from the top of a shaving cream can, scraps of material that I have, cardboard, and jean scraps. The table was made from dowels and a little piece of wood and I made the jeweled box next to the table too. The couch and the table are Barbie and I bought the tv stand from the dollar store and added a back. The pictures on the wall are from Vogue and some old stamps/stickers.

The waffles are rement, the sewing machine is from Salvation Army.

I made the dress on the dress form (rement). The blue purse to the right of the shelf is rement. The green shoes and the black ones next to it (on the other side of the divider) are Barbie, the rest was bought online or came with the doll. What’s left is a mixture of Barbie and Polly Pocket things I had left from my childhood.
